About Daytime Dinkers
Daytime Dinkers offers a range of sessions for intermediate and experienced players who are familiar with the rules of pickleball and have been playing socially for at least six months.
Whether you're looking to improve your fitness, meet new friends, or develop your competitive edge, our sessions are designed to be fun, social, and rewarding. Sadly, we’re not able to offer beginner sessions at the moment.

Club Sessions
- Mondays: 10am - 12pm - intermediate level social play, relaxed and fun.
- Wednesdays: 11:30am - 1:30pm - intermediate social play and competitive games.
- Fridays: 12:30pm - 2:30pm - by invitation only, stronger players training to play in tournaments and league events.
Venue
We play at Leatherhead Leisure Centre in Leatherhead, Surrey, across four courts. We use our own high quality nets and balls. Leatherhead Leisure Centre offers free parking, electric vehicle charging and a cafe where we have a drink after the session.

Club Kit
Daytime Dinkers offers players the opportunity to purchase branded t-shirts, polos, vests, sweatshirts and caps. Although it is not compulsory to wear the team kit, many players enjoy doing so. All league players, however, are required to wear club shirts when representing the club.
Coaching Sessions
From time to time we invite guest coaches to come along and give us some professional coaching. These sessions are open to all members and are scheduled separately to the regular weekly session times. Coaching sessions must be booked in advance and are charged at an additional cost.
Who We Are
After a busy and demanding career in the advertising world, Janice Herrington, Founder and Club Manager of Daytime Dinkers, decided to take early retirement, but she soon realised she needed something to keep her busy!
That all changed during a holiday in Key West, Florida in 2024, when Janice went along to watch some friends play pickleball. From the moment she saw the game, she was hooked!
Having played competitive mixed doubles badminton until her mid-30s, she thought it looked like great fun and something she and her husband, Andy, could enjoy together to stay fit and active.
On returning home, Janice struggled to find a local club in Surrey that had space for new players. Undeterred, she eventually found a coach, took lessons, and began playing socially.
Fast forward 12 months, and her love for the game inspired her to start her own club and that’s how Daytime Dinkers was born! Starting with just one Wednesday session, the club quickly took off. A Monday session was added in June, and now there are three sessions a week with more than 50 active members enjoying the game.
